Air Pollution Asset Level Detection
Introducing APAD - An approach to detect air pollution sources for governments, financial institutes and people.
Who We Are
Our Story
Clean air is a human right and is key to wellbeing, ecosystems and sustainable development. However, there is little funding that goes into improving air quality. The sparse datapoints and air quality detecting in low-middle income countries makes it difficult to channel financing into air quality control measures.
- 99% of the world's population does not have access to clean air.
- 7 million people die due to air pollution every year.
- $12.5 billion/year on average, is allocated to outdoor air pollution funding projects.
Our Mission
ASSET DATABASE
Pollution Source Database
We create an asset level database to support better informed decisions for improving air quality. Our output includes high resolution geo-located assets pertaining to agriculture, industries, road and rail infrastructure etc. in the Indian Gangetic Plain with their quantity, asset level non GHG pollutants, emission data and more.
AIR QUALITY INITIATIVES
How we drive change
The Indo-Gangetic Plain faces critical air quality challenges, impacting millions. Financing air quality initiatives here is not just an environmental imperative but a health necessity. Investments in sustainable practices, clean energy, and pollution control technologies can significantly improve life quality and ensure the region's ecological and economic resilience.
MISSION AND VALUES
Our Vision
Our mission is to advocate for clean air as a fundamental human right. We believe that clean air is essential for a sustainable and thriving world, and we are committed to raising awareness, and suggesting solutions to the stakeholders to address air pollution at its root causes.
